Selection
Criteria
All numerical information used for selection of Star
School of the Year is taken from the CATEMA system.
The CATEMA system has been in effect for 5 years. Information
for the current school years is tabulated from information entered before
February 1, 2006
.
One (1) school is selected from three (3)
categories.
Large schools (over 700 students) -
Medium ( 699-250) – Small ( below 250)
There
are twenty-two (22) different Golden
Crescent
High Schools
and HS campuses eligible for the
award.
Increase
in the number of TP course offered and student enrollment in Tech-Prep
classes.
Number
of new programs taught during the last 3 school years.
Timely
entry of students into the CATEMA system.
All classes/students entered and
verified before Nov. 15th.
Timely
completion of Student Competency Forms (approval process)
Number
of classes taught during the last 3 school years.
Variety/different
TP classes taught during the last 3 school years.
Increase in the number of PEIMS code 2's and 3's over the last 3 school years.
Information
shared during school visits.
All teachers on CATEMA with correct information
(emails), staff on CATEMA.
Plans to add new courses.
Attendance
at TP Conferences, Programs, and training
Annual Tech-Prep conference, Chad
Foster Day, Articulation meetings, etc.
Number
of students taught.
