Login Assistance for Students

Student usernames and passwords are standardized but unique to each student.

The codes are based upon five (5) items making each students information unique.

  1.  The school at which they originally registered into the system - this can be changed if a student moves to a new school.
  2.  Their first name
  3.  Their last name
  4.  Their date of birth (the actual date ex.  18th or 5th)
  5.  The last 6 numbers in their social security number.

If a student attempts to log into the system and receives a message telling them their social security number is already in the system one of two things has happened.

 1.  99% of the time the student has already registered into the system and does not remember registering.
The student needs to check with the Tech-Prep administrator for the school, this is usually the counselor.
The administrator can look up the students name to see if they have previously registered or check the ss number to
see who is using it.  The administrator can tell the student their username and password.

  2.  Another family member is using that SS number.  Contact the Tech-Prep Coordinator for help.
Teachers or Counselors when requesting help if find information on a students login information, make sure you
include the 5 items above about the student.

Examples of login codes:

In rare cases there will be a lower case letter added to the end of the Username, such as an "a","b", or "c". This will occur only when an existing student has already been assigned an auto-generated Username that your new Username would duplicate.
